The shooting of hit action movie "Expendables 2" in Bulgaria gave it a "unique look," director Simon West believes.
"Bulgaria is a country that hasn't really been shot very much so most of our locations will have never been seen before. As a result, I think 'The Expendables 2? has an incredible look," West has told Flick and Bits.
"There are so many different types of landscape and locations we were able to use. I think people will be surprised by what they see," he added.
Commenting on the movie's star-packed assembly, West admitted that he "would pinch himself halfway through the day" as he was directing Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Jean Claude Van-Damme all in the same scene
"The Expendables 2" was released across Europe on August 16, 2012, followed by a North American release on August 17. It has so far received mostly positive reviews by critics and on IMDb.
