A bus transporting passengers caught fire Sunday while moving on one of Bulgaria's main roads, in a string of similar incidents.
The fire caused the temporarily closure of the main I-4 road, connecting the capital Sofia and the Black Sea city of Varna, between the villages of Sopot and Mikre.
The Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry in the city of Lovech reports that no one has been harmed after the coach burst in flames on kilometer 28th between the two villages. The driver managed to stop immediately and to let the passengers safely out of the vehicle.
Two fire trucks arrived at the location and were successful in extinguishing the flames. The road is now open for traffic.
