Phenomenal Russian Evgeniya Kanaeva grabbed the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics rhythmic gymnastics individual final.
Kanaeva finished with 116.900 points, a stunning 2.400 ahead of compatriot Daria Dmitrieva, who took the silver medal.
Liubov Charkashyna from Belarus won the bronze medal with 111.700 points.
Bulgaria's top rhythmic gymnast Sylvia Miteva was ranked eighth with 108.950 pts, just after Israel's Neta Rivkin (109.000 pts) and ahead of Poland's Joanna Mitrosz (109.900 pts).
Miteva received a surprisingly low grading for her initial hoop performance - 27.450 (8.700 difficulty, 9.500 artistry and 9.250 performance).
This affected her performances in the following two rotations (ball and clubs), but after that Miteva was brilliant with the ribbon, only to intriguingly receive again a comparatively low grading for difficulty.
In the preliminary round Thursday and Friday, Sylvia Miteva ranked fourth with 110.925 points.
Sunday at 1.30 pm GMT is the London 2012 Olympics rhythmic gymnastics group all-around final.
The Bulgarian team is fourth with 54.625 points, behind Russia (56.375 pts), Italy (55.800 pts) and Belarus (54.750 pts).
