Code Yellow alert for dangerous heat is declared for 12 Bulgarian regions Friday.
The forecast is issued by the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS.
Code yellow means potentially dangerous weather, where the forecast is not for unusual meteorological events, but requires people to exercise caution.
Code Yellow for heat is effective for the regions of Ruse, Targovishte, Silistra, Shumen, Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Yambol, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, and Kardzhali.
Rain will arrive in the afternoon and evening in western Bulgaria while it will be mostly sunny in the east.
Temperatures are to reach anywhere between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius in western Bulgaria and 32C – 37C in central and eastern Bulgaria.
The weather on the Black Sea Coast will be mostly sunny, but quite windy. Temperatures will be between 29C and 33C degrees and 26-28C for the sea water.
