UK FIRM INTERESTED IN BELENE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

The British company BNFL is interested in the construction of Belene nuclear power plant, the State Agency for Energy and Energy Resources announced. The company is also willing to consult the decommissioning of units 1 and 2 of Kozloduy nuclear power plant. Last year the agency signed an agreement with BNLF on cooperation in the field of nuclear power generation. The new government declared its willingness to continue the construction of Belene N-plant. According to preliminary estimations the construction of Belene N-plant will cost between $1.2 and 1.5 Bln if the 1 000 MW unit is completed.
