The now-famous Sofia Rocks festival starts Saturday, gathering a string of heavyweights from the international rock scene.
The event, organized by Balkan Entertainment Company is kicking off in the blasting heat at 2 pm at the National Vasil Levski Stadium with ANALGIN, VIPERFISH, TRIVIUM, CLAWFINGER, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, SCAR SYMMETRY and SWEET SAVAGE.
The US alternative metal band GODSMACK was supposed to be the headliner of the Saturday concert, but their participation was cancelled after it emerged that the lead vocal has serious voice problems. To compensate ticket holders, the organizers are giving everyone of them the opportunity to bring a friend for the first day of the fest.
The Sunday performance also starts at 2 pm and will feature IGGY AND THE STOOGES, KAISER CHIEFS, WITHIN TEMPTATION, UGLY KID JOE, and LOU GRAMM – THE VOICE OF FOREIGNER.
The legendary rock band Guns N' Roses will delight the audience as the July 8 headliner. Never before have Guns N's Roses had a gig in Bulgaria.
