RETAIL PRICES FALL SYMBOLICALLY TO 0.2%

The National Statistics Institute announced an average drop of 0.2% in July retail prices, in comparison with the previous month. The average inflation rate for this year stands at 0.6%, and the year-to-date one equals 9.2%. Foodstuffs have become slightly cheaper, while other consumer goods have become more expensive by 0.9%. The July retail prices for vegetables and fruit were 11.7% and 3% lower, respectively, than the June ones.
