Association of Private Tobacco Growers insisted on urgent amendments to the implementing regulations for the Tobacco Act and on the state`s active involvement in stipulating the procurement prices of tobacco. Moreover, they were drafted without the stand of tobacco producers having been taken into consideration, tobacco growers complained. The new mechanism will block procurement because in fact it will educe tobacco prices just before the buy-out campaign.
