Bulgaria's considerable progress in the reform of its judiciary was noted in Brussels, Euro-integration Minister Kuneva said upon her return from Brussels, where consultations with the European Commission (EC) on the preparation of the EC's annual report on Bulgaria were held. Still it is necessary to continue the reform in the judiciary, she added. Minister Kuneva described the consultations with the EC as successful. No recommendations to Bulgaria have been made in Brussels, since they will be published in the report, due on October 16. Negotiations on the Financial Control Chapter will be completed by the end of the month, Kuneva said. Bulgaria's loyal attitude on the issue of the International Criminal Court has been praised during the political talks with Verheugen. Kuneva recommended that Bulgaria formulate its stand on the issue after the EU comes out with its position.
