The European Commission's annual report on Bulgaria's EU progress is likely to be very positive Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev said upon his return from a visit to Brussels. Still, it is not yet clear if the report, expected on November 16, will acknowledge the existence of a market economy in Bulgaria. The commissioners told Vassilev that the country's financial system and stock market needed to further developement. The European Commission also stated that it would watch closely the changes in the judicial system and the amendments in the trade law. The minister had a "very useful meeting" with his Belgian counterpart Charles Picket who promised to lobby for Bulgaria's EU accession.
