Loyalists of dead Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi were blamed Monday for the death of four fighters in the Libyan town of Bani Walid.
Forces loyal to the former leader took control of the town, which is located southeast of the Libyan capital Tripoli, reported broadcaster Al Arabiya, cited by DPA.
Bani Walid was one of the last bastions of followers of the late ruler, who was killed in the streets of Sirte on October 20, 2011.
The capture of the town of Bani Walid followed the killing of Gaddafi in his hometown of Sirte in October.
The latest attack in Bani Walid came two days after dozens of Libyans stormed the ruling National Transitional Council's headquarters, in the eastern city of Benghazi, in protest at the perceived slow pace of reform after the end of the armed struggle against Gaddafi.
