Bulgaria has been selected among 20 other countries to host the first UniCredit Studio in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The first UniCredit Studio opened in Italy to exhibit the works of young artists and curators.
According to Jean Claude Mosconi, Head of Artistic and Cultural Advisory UniCredit, who will arrive in Sofia for the opening of the gallery, the idea is to draw attention to young talents and give them a chance to be seen and appreciated.
"It is an honor for UniCredit Bulbank that we are opening an UniCredit Studio not only because Bulgaria has been chosen to host it among 20 other European countries but also because the project will place a strong focus on young Bulgarian artists," said UniCredit Bulbank CEO Levon Hampartsoumian.
Sofia's Studio, the first permanent one to open in the CEE countries of the UniCredit's network, will be located in UniCredit Bulbank's Business Center on Knyaz Alexander I Street #12 in Sofia.
UniCredit Studio opens on January 12, 2012 with the exhibition Time bank, which will be on display until March 4, 2012.
The exhibition is devoted to the human perception of time.
Time bank is curated by Vera Mlechevska and will feature the works of 4 young promising artists: Bora Petkova and Stanimir Genov from Bulgaria, Agnieszka Kurant from Poland and Keijiro Suzuki from Japan.
