Bulgarian-born Hollywood actress Nina Dobrev has become a certified scuba diver.
In her Twitter page, Dobrev has shared that she is "beyond excited" to be an official open water certified diver, providing a picture of her certification card as proof.
The actress took a Professional Association of Diving Instructors course during her break that she spent on a sporting vacation, contactmusic.com informs.
According to Ian Somerhalder's Twitter page, he also spent some time swimming in the ocean, which might suggest that the two were together during their vacation.
On Monday, Nina Dobrev, who currently stars as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on Vampire Diaries, will turn 23.
