PM AND SOCIALISTS LEADER DISCUSS AGRARIAN CREDITS

The Bulgarian Socialist Party suggests that the government should provide low-interest credits in kind for farmers, such as seed and fuels, and also medium-term credits for fertilizers, party leader Georgi Parvanov said after meeting Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg. A BSP workgroup is currently working on draft amendments to the act on crediting agrarian cooperatives to be submitted to the floor some time in the fall. `The Cabinet of Ivan Kostov must assume its share of responsibility for the current situation in the agrarian sector`, Parvanov said. The two did not discuss nominations for deputy ministers at the meeting.
