The Kremlin has downplayed concerns about the possibility of Mongolia arresting President Vladimir Putin during his visit to the country on September 3
The best known and most notorious son of killed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Seif al-Islam, has been arrested in the southern part of the country.
The news was reported Saturday by leading international news agencies, citing Libya's Justice Ministry at the Transitional National Council.
According to initial reports, Seif al-Islam Gaddafi has been detained in the desert in the south-west of the country, along with some of his guards.
Sources close to the Libyan authorities have said that he appears to be in good health.
Seif al-Islam is expected to be soon transported to capital Tripoli.
