An American, a German and a Bulgarian ended up stranded in the jungle and got caught by savages. The captors told them:
"You have three options if you want to be free – eat 100 kilograms of salt, get flogged 100 times or pay USD 100,000. Otherwise we will kill you and eat you."
The American and the German paid up with no hesitation and were freed immediately.
The Bulgarian decided first to gobble up the salt, but soon realized it is too much.
Then opted for the flogging, but not long after started begging the savages to stop.
And finally paid up.
