Jazz, pop and classical music concerts, exhibitions, book promotions, theatre and fashion performances feature on the agenda of 2002 edition of Apollonia Art Festival. It will run in the Black sea town of Sozopol until September 8. The festival however found its culmination before the official opening, scheduled for Friday evening with a concert by jazz pianist Antoni Donchev, his Theatre Jazz Band and the Eva Folk Quartet. An exhibition entitled "Words and Graphite," which opened a day earlier at the Town Museum, attracted immense interest. Among the events on the agenda of the festival that are sure to stir the interest of the public are the plays "Comedy of the Servants" staged by the distinguished Bulgarian director Teddy Moskov, the premiere of "Small comedies", directed by the unique actor Marius Kurkinski, the concert of famous clarinet player Teodosii Spasov and the US Paradox Trio formation. Performances of singers and bands in the frame of the festival such as Maria Ilieva, B.T.R. and Te will certainly appeal to those with a taste for modern Bulgarian music.
