Bulgaria's top football player Valeri Bojinov may have to start on the bench in the clash against Wales, due on October 11, after a more than certainly passionate first night with his newly wedded wife.
"For the husband the first night after the wedding is very difficult. We will have to see whether he is still standing on his feet," the interim coach Mihail Madanski commented on Monday.
Bulgarian playmate Nikoleta Lozanova, who is much better known as the latest passion of top football player Valeri Bojinov, became his lawfully wedded wife on Sunday evening.
The couple, who recently moved to Lisbon and are expecting their first child, said their vows at a ceremony at the town of Pravets near Sofia, which was boycotted by the national team accommodated at the hotel.
To top it all off, Madanski is facing an uphill battle since a number of key players are missing from the team, making the national football team's chances to save face at the upcoming euro qualifier against Wales even slimmer.
Bulgaria will go to the euro qualifier against Wales on October 11 without defenders Kostadin Stoyanov, Plamen Krachunov, Ivan Bandalovski and one of its top players – Bolton forward Martin Petrov.
Madanski has recalled back into the team former Parma striker Valeri Bojinov after Lothar Matthaeus, who was recently sacked as coach of Bulgaria's squad, persistently dropped him.
Valeri Bojinov, who was recently transferred to Sporting Lisbon, has never made a secret of his negative feelings for the former coach and vowed never to wear the Bulgarian shirt while Matthaeus is in charge.
PSV Eindhoven defender Stanislav Manolev, who turned on the former coach German Lothar Lothar Matthaeus, after being dropped for the Euro 2012 Group G qualifier against England on September 2, feature in the line-up of his successor.
Nikolay Bodurov and Zhivko Milanov however are out due to an injury and a red card respectively.
Madanski has also called five new players into the team and after expressing satisfaction with the performance of the new faces in the friendly game against Ukraine.
Bulgaria have now lost all chances to qualify to Euro 2012 - it is at the bottom of group G with 5 points.
The team suffered yet another defeat by Ukraine in a friendly game on October 7.
