The election of Privatization agency supervisory board last week might cause a dispute between so called young and old economists in Simeon II National movement, the party that won 120 seats of altogether 240 in Bulgarian parliament mid-June, Dnevnik daily reported today. According to unnamed sources the three representatives from the movement, elected already in the Board by the parliament last Friday, were completely different than those named by the leader of the financial team of the party and currently Deputy PM and Minister of economy Nikolay Vassilev. It is probable that a group around Vassilev, including his to-be-appointed deputies Lyubka Kachakova and Sofia Kassydova, finance minister Milen Veltchev as well suffered first lose from their competitors from the older generation. All above mentioned names came to Bulgaria to support Simeon Ii and to participate in the elections after spending several years experience in big investment banks and corporations. The Privatization Agency supervisory board includes three representatives of the Simeon II National Movement, two of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and one of Coalition for Bulgaria and the United Democratic Forces. Theodor Stoev, Petko Nikolov and Russy Mehandziev, relatively unknown persons, represent Simeon II Movement. One of the key King`s experts Vladimir Karolev surprisingly missed from the list. Sunday he confirmed that he gave up politics and will focus his efforts on private business.
