Bulgaria to Appoint Tourism Attache in Germany
Bulgaria will appoint a tourism attache in Germany, it was announced Tuesday.
Currently, the post is open to competition, deputy Economy Minister Ivo Marinov said during a meeting between the Ministry's trade representatives abroad and the Bulgarian business.
Once a candidate is selected for the job, Germany will become the second state in which Bulgaria will have its special tourism attache after Russia. Bulgaria's tourism attache in Germany will be based in Frankfurt, because many German tour operators working with the country have offices there.
"One should consider also that ever since tourism was included in the Ministry of Economy, our trade representatives represent our tourism, too," Traicho Traikov, Bulgaria's Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, pointed out during the meeting.
