Young Bulgarian poet and travel writer Dimiter Kenarov has been arrested in Mazyr, Belarus on Wednesday, according to information released by his family.

Kenarov, 30, who writes travel prose, was on a trip to Belarus, where he was detained for having no documents, which he reportedly had lost.

Friends and relatives are worried about him, as he has been reportedly interrogated by KGB, Belarus' secret services.

Bulgariar Dimiter Kenarov is chiefly based in the USA, where he is also pursuing a PhD degree in English at Berkeley.

He has published for editions such as The Nation, Esquire and Boston Review. In Bulgaria he has two collections of short poetry issued.
