Miss Bulgaria 2011 is called Vanya Peneva, she is 23 years old and comes from Kazanlak, the town of roses.

The dark-haired beauty has already won the "Queen of the Valley of Roses" title but is not a professional model and does not represent any modeling agency.

The new Miss Bulgaria will represent the country at the highly-prestigious Miss World contest.

Peneva's runner-up was Denitsa Stoyanova from Sofia, with Olga Modeva from Elin Pelin winning third place.

The Miss Bulgaria 2011 hopefuls were judged by an 8-member jury consisting of Zheni Kalkandzhieva (Visage modeling agency), Irina Papazova (Intersound modeling agency). Emil Koshlukov, producer at no frame media, Stoycho Kerev, TV host, Les Weldon, producer at New Image, singer Orlin Goranov, dietologist Angie Kassabie and Daniela Miteva.

The beauty pageant was held as a TV reality show, allowing the audience to follow all stages of the contest from the casting calls to the final and vote for their favorite.

This year's award ceremony also included an unprecedented, spectacular 3D show.
