Saturday the second evening of Loop Elevation music festival, due to take place in Bulgarian the town of Razlog, was called off due to winds reaching 100 km/h.

The announcement was made by the organizers, and was encouraged by the mayor of Razlog, which is located between the Rila and Pirin mountains, and supported by the national weather service.

The strong winds that set on Friday evening continue to blow on the high mountain ranges of Bulgaria Sunday.

The Mountain Rescue Service (PSS) has informed that ridges in Rila, Pirin and Stara Planina suffer high wind exposure and are covered in fog and clouds.

Night temperatures at high altitudes have been lower than usual, ranging around -1 to 5 degrees Centigrade.

Hillwalkers are advised to be cautious, and bring warm clothes and protection from rain.

PSS warn that locally weather might worsen, but report no accidents with tourists.
