Bulgarians and visitors to the country experienced a scorcher on Sunday as the mercury zoomed up to 35°C, making it the hottest day since the beginning of the year.

Next week will bring a much-awaited respite from the heat with scattered rain showers on the territory of the whole country. Temperatures will fall sharply by 5-8°C.

June will end with beautiful summer weather and temperatures will stabilize after the fluctuations in the first weeks of the month.

Yet short-lived drizzles have not been ruled out throughout the month.

There will be light wind along the Black Sea coast, where the temperature of the water was already 20°C at the beginning of the month and has been increasing ever since.
