TURKEY`S Demirbank, which was recently bought by Britain`s HSBC, announced it was selling six of its daughter structures abroad, including Demirbank of Bulgaria.

THE DEBTS of economic agents to commercial banks fell BGN 143.4 million in the week between July 14 and 20, BNB data show. As of July 20, commercial banks` domestic credit amounted to BGN 4.588 billion.

THE AIRPORT in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa posted a BGN 20,000 profit for the first seven months of the year. A total of 1,500 tonnes of cargo passed through the airport.

A TEMPORARY commission on natural disasters has been set up in connection with the increased number of fires in the region of Sakar and the East Rhodope Mountains. The commission is chaired by Haskovo`s acting regional governor, Dimitar Valchanov.
