The US has accepted NATO's request to extend their participation in the military operation in Libya by 48 hours.
The news was reported Monday by the TV channel bTV, citing Pentagon officials.
The Pentagon says in a statement the US count NATO and Europe will be able to topple down the regime of dictator Muamar Gaddafi in Tripoli.
