Bulgaria's tourism will enjoy a summer growth as a result of the ongoing North African turmoil, according to the chair of Black Sea capital Varna's Tourism Chamber, Martin Neshkov.

The Balkan country attracts mainly Russian tourists who will avoid their otherwise traditionally favored destination – Egypt, Neshkov clarified. Some touristic companies have registered a 100% year on year increase in Russian summer bookings, he pointed out, adding that 10% to 30% more citizens of different European countries have already booked.

The World Tourism Organization has predicted a 5 % overall growth in global tourism, which also fuels the high expectations Bulgaria has for the upcoming summer season, the head of Varna's tourism chamber said, as cited by dariknews.bg.
