Anonymous Artist NoName with a Work for March 3, Liberation Day of Bulgaria
A new work by the anonymous artist NoName became a hit on social networks in Bulgaria.
Christo Yavashev-Christo, the world renown avant-guard artist, will donate several of his works to the future Bulgarian national museum complex in downtown, nicknamed 'the Bulgarian Louvre'.
The artist has agreed to lend a hand to the ambitious project after he met with Bulgaria's Finance Minister Simeon Djankov, who was on a 6-day official trip in the US. Christo has told Djankov he even considers visiting his homeland for the first time in decades, after repeatedly declaring he does not want to have anything to do with it.
The famous artist has been convinced to reconcile with Bulgaria after he received a letter from the country's Minister of Culture, Vezhdi Rashidov, stating that its authorities admire his work and respect him. Rashidov has announced that one of the new museum complex halls will be dedicated to Christo.
Christo has, together with his late wife, Jeanne-Claude, created environmental works of art including the famous wrappings of the Reichstag in Berlin and the Pont-Neuf bridge in Paris.
