NEW CROWN AGENTS CHIEF NOTES PROGRESS IN CUSTOMS

John Brown, the recent replacement of Jim Williams, board chairman of Crown Agents in Bulgaria said that during the last couple of months there was a significant progress in the administration of the Bulgarian customs. He has been chief of the Crown Agents team, hired to conduct reforms in the customs for two weeks now. In his opinion, the five inland customs squads that start operation on August 15th will contribute a lot to manage the smuggling problem. Brown underlined that he was impressed with the skills of the Crown Agents team in Bulgaria. He added that five officers from the Scandinavian customs were expected to join.
