A light earthquake was registered Wednesday morning near the Bulgarian town of Petrich at the Greek-Bulgarian border, according to data from the European Seismological Center.
The quake with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale occurred at 8:06 am on Wednesday. The epicenter was 2-km deep, 8 km northeast of Petrich.
On February 7, six light earthquakes shook the same area. Their magnitudes ranged from 2 to 3.3 on the Richter scale.
