Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borisov stated he is unwilling to discuss his private life in public, right after doing just the same to socialist predecessor Sergey Stanishev in Parliament Friday.

The ex-girlfriends of Bulgaria's current and former PMs became subjects of debate during question time in Parliament Friday, when opposition socialist MP Anton Kutev asked Borisov about the wealth of his ex Tsvetelina Borislavova, former co-owner of EIBank.

"I don't cohabit with Borislavova since years ago," said Borisov, but nevertheless retorted with a question about the socialist ex-PM Stanishev's ex-girlfirend, famous journalist Elena Yoncheva.

"What was Yoncheva doing with the Somali pirates and who paid for that?" asked Borisov regarding the funding of some high-profile reports Yoncheva had produced at the time her boyfriend was PM.

Just some minutes after that, upon re-entering the plenary hall of Parliament, the Bulgarian PM expressed disappointment about what had happened and said he was sorry he retorted.

In the meanwhile, Borisov had been accused by socialist MP Dragomir Stoynev of not being "manly", since he had missed another parliamentary question by exiting the hall.

To round up the vivid exchange, Bulgarian PM answered the accusation with the following words: "In the end the question how manly I am is none of your business. I can as well be somewhat feminine, don't you think? Well, there are two sexes and we are free to choose. Leave my sexual orientation, and the question whether I am manly or not, to myself - I'm not meddling with you either."

Bulgaria's PM is internationally renowned for his imposing figure and somewhat burly behavior.

In Bulgaria, Borisov is remembered, among other things, with the words: "In our GERB party men love women and women love men. It's just that as far as tenderness is concerned, I prefer girls to be tender rather than boys."
