The Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office raised three charges against former Agriculture Minister Ventsislav Vurbanov, including criminal breach of trust and embezzlement. Vurbanov went to the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office together with his lawyer. A bail has been fixed of BGN 10,000. Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office accused Vurbanov of almost all charges of Chief Prosecutor Nikola Filchev who demanded that Former Agriculture Minister Ventsislav Vurbanov be stripped of immunity from prosecution January 31. Filchev claimed that Vurbanov has committed grave crimes as Agriculture Minister and chairman of fund “Agriculture” in the period March 1, 1998 - July 2001. A total of 98 materials were attached as proof of the allegations. Parliament voted that Vurbanov be stripped of immunity March 23.
