Bulgarian Military Explained the F-16 Training Flights Seen Over Sofia
Training flights involving Bulgaria’s F-16 fighter jets were carried out over Sofia yesterday, with several of the aircraft seen flying above the capital.

The Bulgarian Transport Minister, Aleksander Tsvetkov, informs two more people have been fired in connection the Monday crash between two trains at the Dragoil station, near the Bulgarian town of Dragoman.
On Saturday, Tsvetkov told Darik radio that in addition to the Executive Director of the Railroad Administration Agency, Simeon Ananiev, the two employees on duty at the Dragoman railroad station and the one that was on duty at Dragoil, he has also fired the two locomotive operators.
Tsvetkov reiterated earlier statements that the head-on collision between the international train from Belgrade to Sofia and the small company train of the Bulgarian State Railroad Agency, BDZ, carrying employees of the company, has been the result of human error and the dismissed employees committed drastic violations of the rules. The employees on duty did not follow the order of activities prescribed by code.
According to the latest information, the locomotive operators are also responsible for the crash – the one on the international train, who passed on the track minutes before the accident, as well as the second one, who drove despite the red light.
"When violations stager, it leads to horrific consequences," the Minister stressed.
Over the next 24 hours, Bulgaria will experience largely stable weather conditions.
