The Bulgarian village of Manastir has been affected the most by the earthquake that hit the Northeastern part of the country Thursday evening.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near the town of Provadia, 34 km west of Varna, 320 km east of Sofia, at a depth of 7.8 km, according to the Bulgarian National Seismological Data Center.
According to the regional head of Civil Protection in Varna, Vladimir Ivanov, the quake has caused the fall of several chimneys and cracks in the paster of walls.
The wall of one house, which had been damaged by the previous earthquake in the region, has now completely collapsed. No one was hurt because the owner of the building does not there anymore.
"The damages in the town of Provadia are not many. The rattling has cracked the window glass of the municipality building in town. There have not been reported big damages in the neighboring village of Dobrina," Ivanov said.
He explained that the inspection of the damages continues and will be ready later on Friday.
Ivanov also claimed that the Devnya municiaplity has also not reported any damages. He pointed out he would demand an urgent meeting with the District Governor, Dancho Simeonov, to discuss an inspection of the local treatment plant.
