The CEO of bauMax Bulgaria, Nicola Szekely, has taken over the management of bauMax Romania as well.

The Austrian chain bauMax has four construction hypermarkets in Bulgaria (in Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, and Burgas) and 16 hypermarkets in Romania.

Szekely has been in charge of bauMax Bulgaria for a year, after first joining the company in 2006.

The merging of the management in Bulgaria and Romania means an intensive exchange of ideas and stable support for the promotion of the brand, said the company in a statement.

bauMax currently operates 147 hypermarkets in 9 Central and Eastern European countries, as it recently expanded to Turkey.
