International Technology Fair Opens in Bulgaria's Plovdiv: International Technology Fair Opens in Bulgaria's Plovdiv 1 600 companies from 41 countries are participating at the Fall 2010 International Technology Fair in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv. File photo

The International Technology Fair opens Monday in Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv with participants from over 41 countries.

The number of companies with displays is estimated at 1 600. The car showroom includes 29 importers with over 40 automobile brands.

The Intermin Expo dedicated to the mining industry is a first for the Fair.

The conference and debate titled "Stable Development of the Mining Industry in Central and eastern Europe" is held Monday in the Bulgaria Hall at the Fair's Congress Center as part of the agenda of Fall 2010.

The conference is under the patronage of Economy and Energy Minister, Traicho Traikov.

The Fair closes on October 2.
