Politics | July 26, 2001, Thursday // 00:00
A brief discussion on the latest developments in Macedonia was held by President Stoyanov, Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg, Foreign Minister Solomon Passy and the Chief of Staff of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, General Miho Mihov. It took place at Sofia Airport Wednesday morning, before the President`s departure for London. Stoyanov reiterated his view that there are still opportunities for dialogue with Macedonia, adding that there were only ten minutes before the flight and there was no way to discuss the situation in details. Stoyanov has said that the situation in Macedonia will be a subject to discussion during his three-day visit to the UK. Next week the head of state will discuss the question with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister and after that may call the Consultative Council on National Security.
