Two earthquakes have been registered 240 km south from the Bulgarian capital Sofia, the Bulgarian National Radio has reported.
According to the Seismological Center to the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, at 12 pm on Sunday was registered an earthquake with an epicenter of about 240 km south from Sofia, outside Bulgaria’s territory.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 4,6 and has been felt on Bulgarian territory. However, there has not been any information about victims or damages.
Shortly after that, at 12:15 pm, a second earthquake was registered. It had the same epicenter and its magnitude was 4,8.
According ot the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter of the two earthquakes has been about 50 km east of the Greek city of Thessaloniki.
