The world famous supermodel Naomi Campbell will testify at The Hague's trial against the former President of Liberia, Charles Taylor.

Campbell will attend the trial on Thursday.

The Prosecution's Office has stated that the supermodel has refused to talk to them, so they had to issue an order to force her to testify and say whether Taylor has given her a rough diamond as a gift in 1997.

If Campbell states it true, this would mean that the former President of Liberia has lied to the court and has provided arms and ammunition to rebels during Sierra Leone's civil war in exchange for uncut diamonds, illegally mined by kidnapped civilians, many of them children.

Taylor has been charged with 11 war crimes and crimes against humanity but has pleaded not guilty on all of them.
