Former South African President and emblematic anti-apartheid campaigner Nelson Mandela attended the World Cup award ceremony in Johannesburg.
The 91-year-old Mandela made an appearance with his wife Graca Machel. The two were driven across the field in a golf cart amidst the cheers of the some 90 000 spectators at the Soccer City Stadium.
