BG DUTY FREE CORRIDOR

Duty-free zone between Rousse and Varna is to be established. The project aims at provoking interest in the traffic of commodities in the Rhine-Main-Danube directions, as well as to Turkey and the countries in the Arab peninsula. It envisages the construction of three large depots, a customs house as well as two quay terminals, a road and a railway segment to cross over the entire zone. The Council of Ministers already approved the setup of a transit zone in Varna. The total amount of the project is DEM 8.6 M.
