A suspicious package apparently shipped from Bulgaria and containing no postage set off a scare in a Dunedin neighborhood in Florida on Wednesday, local media reported.

It was removed by a bomb squad and later found to contain medications.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Debra Osmun, 52, of 2229 Lakewood Drive, found the package just after 3 p.m. She believed it was suspicious and called authorities.

Deputies evacuated two neighboring homes and closed off the drive between Dogwood and Pinewood until the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad arrived to inspect it.

Bomb Squad members determined the package did not contain explosives, but rather medications.

The package was removed and the neighborhood reopened to traffic.
