Bulgaria: Economy Ministry Drafts 'Guide for Attracting Bulgarian Tourists'

A “Guide for Attracting Bulgarian Tourists” was released Monday by the Ministry of Economy, Energy, and Tourism.

The guide was presented to representatives of Bulgarian tourism companies, local authorities, and NGOs during a seminar in the town of Pravets.

It features case studies of business development and marketing as well as advice on how to apply for EU funding for projects under Operational Program Regional Development.

Bulgaria’s Economy Ministry has planned similar seminars in each of the country’s six economic planning regions (Southwestern, South-central, Southeastern, Northeastern, North-central, Northwestern).

The seminars are part of the strategy of the Ministry to encourage internal tourism in Bulgaria by teaching local companies new methods and best practices.
