BOMB PLANTED AGAINST GREEK CITIZEN

Politics | July 21, 2001, Saturday // 00:00

A bomb exploded in a Greek businessman`s green house at dawn yesterday. The explosive had been planted under the glass structures of the green house. It is some 10 or so meters from the last plots of the graveyard near Kyustendil, along the road to Blagoevgrad. In the afternoon yesterday the anti-mafia police officers from Kyustendil and Sofia were inspecting the site of the incident. The green house guard heard the explosion and alarmed the police. In the opinion of the guard it had been a small capacity bomb and he heard a muted sound. The green houses for vegetables are owned by 37-year-old Greek businessman Konstantinos Anastasius Papadopoulos. Only several meters up the road to Blagoevgrad the Greek national runs a `DIN` petrol station which sells the cheapest fuel in Kyustendil.
