BG JAZZMEN OPEN PROGRAM ON DENMARK'S EU PRESIDENCY

Bulgarian jazzmen's concert opened the programme marking the start of Denmark's EU Presidency in the Tivoli park June 30. European Commission President Romano Prodi, EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana, European Parliament President Pat Cox, Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen and the European Commission members applauded loudly Bulgarian performers Prof. Simeon Shterev (flute) and Antoni Donchev (piano). The series of concerts is mottoed: "Meet a New Star" and presents all the EU applicant countries. Each applicant will stage four concerts within the special programme, which marks the beginning of the Danish presidency.
