The Targovishte City Hall declared February 19 a Day of Mourning for the 4 Bulgarians who died during a building blast in the Belgium city of Liege.
The 4 are residents of the village of Probuda near the Northeastern city of Targovishte.
The expenses to transport the bodies from Sofia will be covered by the City Hall, the councilmen agreed. The bodies are expected to arrive Thursday and the funerals will take place Friday unless the families of the victims request another date.
Iskren Biserov Mihaylov, 17-year-old Tyurkiyan Sergeeva Ivanova, 38-year-old, Sergey Ivanov Mihaylov and his son Valtentin Sergeev died on January 27 when a 5-story building collapsed in Liege after an explosion caused by a gas leak.
