Good Friday has been declared official holiday by the Members of the Bulgarian Parliament duirng their Wednesday session.

The motive stated is the fact that according to Christian canons this is a day when no work should be done.

The MPs approved other changes in the Labor Code involving time of service. Labor contracts for just certain days of the month along with work at European institutions will now count as service time.

April 2 is Good Friday in Bulgaria in 2010.
