"Triumph" Selected as Bulgaria's Entry for 97th Academy Awards
The film "Triumph" by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov has been selected as Bulgaria's entry for the international film category at the 97th Academy Awards
“Eastern Plays” of Bulgarian director Kamen Kalev has won the grand prize at the “Premier Plans” Film Festival in Angers, France.
“Eastern Plays” triumphed together with the movie “La Pivellina” of Italian and Austrian directors.
The “Premier Plans” Festival is aimed at discovering young European directors. “Eastern Plays” is the debut feature film of Kamen Kalev, a graduate of La femis, Paris.
Publications in the French press describe Eastern Plays as a film for humanism portraying a man fighting against hate.
