Bulgaria will accept one detainee from the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov informs.
The move is in response to the Washington request to house prisoners.
The Minister says the Bulgarian authorities have looked at two particular prisoners, who display model behavior and profess family values.
Tsvetanov denies reports the detainees are terrorists, but admits they are considered to be supporters of terrorists organizations.
The Minister further declined to give details about the nationalities of the prisoners. He points out, the final decision of the Council of Ministers is expected in less than a month.
