The condition of 3 out of the 4 Bulgarian rangers injured during a Taliban rocket attack in Kandahar remains unchanged.

The new was reported by the Bulgarian Defense Ministry Wednesday.

The wounded remain listed at the US field hospital in Bagram, which according to NATO medical standards, conducts the highest level of medical intervention in the territory of Afghanistan.

Sergeant Alexander Alexandrov, who sustained the most serious injuries, remains in critical condition and his life is still in danger. The other two - Corporal Yordan Petkov, who has stomach wounds, and Private, Yavor Ivanov, with leg and ankle injuries are in stable condition.

The 3 were listed in Bagram to be stabilized before being transported to a US military hospital in Germany.

4 Bulgarian servicemen were injured during a Taliban rocket attack on the Kandahar airport Sunday night. The attack happened during the 5-day visit to Afghanistan of now former Defense Minister, Nikolay Mladenov and the rocket landed 200 meters from his location. The Taliban, reportedly, have said the NATO Minister was the target of the attack, which Mladenov firmly denies.
